HI, I'M ANGELA.
When I think about my life, the simplest way to explain it would be to break it into two sections, before and after sobriety.
The biggest difference between those two periods is the mindset that I was in. This is key to learn about life, because your mindset can be your greatest strength in life, but it can also be your biggest downfall if you don’t understand how to change it, evolve it and continue to grow in it. Hence, the first section of my life. Before sobriety.
Yes, my life ticks off many of the typical behaviour pattern boxes that are linked to childhood trauma, which led to substance abuse disorder and plenty of emotional pain. I had always been on a quest to find myself. To figure out who I was. I felt it was so strange to live with myself for my whole existence and not know, me. Later, when I finally accepted sobriety and change into my life, and began to heal and grow, transformation and growth became my passion. I realized I never needed to find myself at all, I was always there. It was my mindset in so many ways that was blocking me from seeing what was right in front of me. My goal is to help you to see the same thing in your own life.
